Tales of Transformation

It's a tale that's been in myths, legends and story since they were first being told. Just never like this. Men becoming women. Sometimes willingly, often times not.
Teens Transformed In youth, the lines between female and male are often a little blurrier than later in life. Here, the line may get blurred even further - or obliterated entirely.
Stories of the Supernatural Sometimes it's not people who are trying to change you, it's something you can't explain.
Crossed Fiction When it's the clothes that captivate you, wouldn't it be awful if you got in too deep?
Crossed Romance And then sometimes the clothes take you places you never thought you'd go. Like falling in love.
Web Classics Revisited Many great stories first appeared on the internet, just begging to be professionally published. These works are re-edited, expanded, illustrated and specially priced.

Notes on content: Sick Puppy Press isn't in the business of pornography. What pornography is, as defined by the US Supreme court, is visual imagery of sexual acts of an explicit nature. This is something we have no interest in getting involved in. Although the nature of the material we publish is sexual in theme and will describe sexual acts, this does not qualify it as pornography.

Additionally, the editorial stance of Sick Puppy Press is that even when described in the story, it should not be the focus of the story. At it's best, this vein of storytelling is about good writing and character development. If sex is something that is a part of a story, it should be done with taste and be true to the spirit of the story.

Notes on writing and editing: Every book will have to go through an editing process. In this process, it may be necessary to omit sections of the text and/or re-write parts. As such, the final word count will only apply to the final version of the text. This could possibly mean that a text submitted at one length is shortened to a lesser category. Sick Puppy has to be the final word on what they will accept for publication, and the edited length will be what payment is based upon. However, no story will be published before the final editing is done, so the author retains the ability to accept or decline based on their own judgement of the final piece. Also, all books are meant to be single-story publications. Please don't submit multiple stories for a single book - or a single story to be broken into multiple books.

Payment: Thanks to a special arrangement with our printer, Lulu.com, the creators will be paid a percentage royalty directly by the printer. This is a great arrangement for many reasons: First, the creators retain ownership of the work. Second, rather than having to deal with Sick Puppy as a middleman, you will be paid a percentage of the profit of the book by Lulu, and not having to wait on lazy people like Joe to write a check. Third, the ammount of money you make on a popular book will likely exceed any sum offered by any current TG fiction publisher. And there is virtually no limit to ammount of money to be made. The creator will be paid for every single copy that is sold, whether it be a week from publication or a year from publication. And the payment comes from the net profit, not the gross. No hidden fees apply. Payment will be made by Lulu on a quarterly or monthly basis, depending on what options you would like to take for remission (checks or PayPal). Your true name, a real mailing address and a social security number (for US resdients) are required by Lulu for payment. This purely for payment & tax purposes.

Terms: When you publish through Sick Puppy, the creator will retain copyright. This means that the work will be wholly owned by the person(s) who made it. The only thing Sick Puppy asks is that if you wish to remove your work from publication, or post the work publicly, that you give fair warning. Since each book is essentially a collaboration, the income of the illustrator and/or writer will also be affected. Fair warning should be considered at least a month.

Sick Puppy's Stake: SPP will take 15% of the net royalty for the services we provide. This includes maintaining this site, advertising, layout & design of the book, and general maintennace of the sales system. The remaining percentage (85%) will then be divided amongst the writer and illustrator. Exact percentages are not printed here for competitive reasons, but you can email submissions(at)sixpacksite(dot)com for specifics.

Process: If you would like to submit, and you are an author, please contact submissions(at)sixpacksite(dot)com before submitting the text. Sick Puppy doesn't want to have anyone go through the rigorous, difficult process of writing a story and then drop it off for a thumbs up/thumbs down answer. If you are interested in writing, it would be a lot less stressful for the both of us if you talk about some ideas and submit some samples first. If you are an illustrator, the part of the process that comes first is the text. So what we would need to see some samples, and then call upon you when we have a text ready for you. Once final submissions are made for the text and the illustrations, SPP will then start to make the book, and begin the process of editing. We will collaborate to get to the final product, and once everyone's happy, publish it.
