Superheroine fic

Have you ever thought of doing an actual fanfic? Like with superheroes or Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc. There is a lot of badly written stuff out there, but seeing as you can write, that might be interesting.

Fan fic only works because some hard working writer has already developed the characters for other people to play with. Developing good characters is the toughest part of writing - and something I really struggle with.

But that's part of the challenge. Using someone else's characters and situations is just something that's really hard for me to get excited about.
